Feed Brookline Food Drive and Pet Food Drive
Along with other members of the Coolidge Corner Merchants' Association, we are participating in the Feed Brookline Food drive. We have a box in the front of our store to collect your nonperishable food and personal care items, which will help provide the Brookline Emergency Food Pantry with the supplies they need. Here is a list of specific items they are looking for: http://www.coolidgecornerhub.com/index.php/community/feed-brookline-drive/901-2011-brookline-food-pantry-wish-list Additionally, because we always have pets in mind, we are having a pet food drive. You can bring in cans or bags of food, or purchase them in the store. We will then donate the food to animal shelters in need!
Gift Basket Raffle for Pet Cancer
We have a bunch of awesome gift baskets chock full of favorite toys, foods, treats, and supplies for all different types of pets which we will raffle off at the end of November. Tickets are 3 for $2 or 10 for $5, with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the cancer care center at MSPCA Angell. We will be doing the drawing at the end of the month, so stop by the store to get some tickets for your chance to win some great prizes for a great cause!
Rat Rescue Adoption Event
We are partnering with Mainely Rat Rescue to hold a rat adoption event on November 12 from 4 to 5pm. You can come in and learn about how rats make fantastic pets, especially for people living in apartments or small spaces. They are affectionate, intelligent and easy to care for! The folks from MRR will have some rats for you to meet, and you can talk with some rattie foster parents to find out more about rat care. You can fill out an adoption application and get on your way to rat ownership!
