USA Made Chicken Jerky Treats!

There have been reports going back to around 2007 about dogs getting sick from eating chicken jerky dog treats from China, but there have been no official recalls done as of yet. The symptoms of sick dogs resemble those of Fanconi Syndrome, which include vomiting, lack of appetite, and listlessness. Owners with sick dogs have also reported excessive thirst and weakness. Vets have been finding kidney and pancreatic failure in any of the affected dogs. So far, it has been to pinpoint exactly which brands are responsible for the sickness, but Purina, Milo's Kitchen, and Waggin Train have been implicated. Keep in mind that there have not been any official recalls done at this time, but the FDA has issued a blanket warning against chicken treats from China.

It's always important to keep tabs on your dogs' food and where it comes from, as well at the ingredients and contents of all food and treats. Here at Brookline Grooming, we recently started carrying an amazing line of jerky treats which are produced, proccessed, and packaged in the United States.

Kona's Chips company was started when the owner's dog got sick (presuably) from eating chicken jerky treats from China in 2007. They are made from 100% USDA chicken sourced at a poutlry producer in California.

Brookline Grooming is currently the only store in Massachusetts that sells these amazing treats. We highly recommend them, and we're sure you and your dog will enjoy them!
